With the beautiful weather we are having in Central Florida, this is some awesome time to be out on the water. Stand Up Paddle boarding on the flat-water of the Indian River Lagoon this time of year is some of the most perfect weather. The air temperatures are in the high seventies and the winds are less than ten miles an hour. We’ve had some great days these last two weeks as we’ve taken our guest out on the water to follow wind protected mangrove lined channels. With the water temperatures now hovering around sixty-nine degrees, most of the manatee have moved to warmer water, but now our daily visitors are the dolphin pods.

Recent article in the Florida today
I am the type of woman who loves to accept a worthy, physical challenge.
It started when I was a kid, and figure skating was my fixation. I mastered a single axle, then moved on to the next challenge. I learned how to glide down a mountain, and most importantly how to stop. Several daredevil feats followed, and then my engines cooled for a time.
Soon after, came the kids. Challenges after that involved more than just me, and my body assumed the brunt of carrying two sacks of sugar and spice on my hips. I ended up with arms of steel, but I knew my core could use some strengthening.

This is a short video of what our stand up paddle board area looks like in November. It’s a beautiful time to go for a paddle around our prestine area. A few minutes from Cocoa Beach, Vero Beach and Melbourne Beach, the flatwater allows beginner paddlers to learn how to SUP, without having to deal with the swells and waves of the Atlantic. Fall Stand Up Paddle Boarding in Central Florida
While the rest of the country is getting hit with early winter storms which are bringing huge amounts of snow, down power lines and long cold evenings, central Florida is having some amazing weather. Our mid-80’s temps and calm winds are the norm. Communities up and down the Florida coast are starting to come alive with surfers hitting the waves. But, along with the surf, Fall also the ideal time for Stand Up Paddlers to hit the water. The temperate weather makes for amazing trips through the mangroved lined waterways.

I was in Florida for 5 days and wanted to try Stand Up Paddling. I found Dina and Fernando’s sight on the internet. I loved the tour so much I did it a second time. Dina and Fernando have found the perfect spot to paddle board. The water is calm and a perfect place to paddle for newbies and experienced paddlers. Dina and Fernando go out of their way to make sure your trip is amazing….we wanted to see manatees and on the second trip Fernando spotted some and guided us to them. What an amazing experience. Stand Up Paddling is a great way to get some exercise while being able to enjoy the nature around you. I highly recommend this tour and will definitely be back!
